Green & Gold Tree Farms have adopted that specific business name for three good reasons:
- Firstly, it is considered that the company needs to pay equal attention to the environmental (the "green") and the commercial (the "gold") aspects of Tree Farming. Both components of Tree Farming are essential and supportive of each other.
- It is the intention of the company to develop future Tree Farms with a "balanced portfolio" of tree species. The Tree Farms will concentrate on various species of eucalypt (the "green") but will also plant a range of wattles (the "gold") and other native species to enhance the habitat for flora and fauna.
- It is no coincidence that Green & Gold are the unofficial colours of Australia. Green & Gold Tree Farms will be striving to improve the Australian environment and economy, while doing its little bit to uphold Australia's environmental responsibilities with respect to climate change through a program of carbon sequestration.
