These pictures show two different ways of mound spraying, as demonstrated at the Field Day. In easily accessible, relatively flat areas, the spraying could be done quickly and easily using a spray tank mounted on a quad bike. The rate of spray application can be related to the speed at which the bike is being driven.

In less accessible areas, or where the slope is too great for safe use of the quad bike (as occurred on the hill at Blue Range Close), a multi-spray backpack unit was used. This was a slower process, but a safer one.
