The Taggerty Plantation consists of a Forestry Right Agreement with a property owner, covering 15 hectares of eucalypt and pine plantation. Under a Forestry Right Agreement, the land is still owned by the property owner (John Woodley), but ownership of the trees on the land is transferred to another party (Green & Gold Tree Farms) for a specified period of time (generally until they are harvested). At the end of this Agreement, full rights are transferred back to the land owner (perhaps for them to re-plant another plantation).
The Taggerty Plantation includes Shining Gum, Spotted Gum, Pinus Radiata, plus a large range of other plantings.
