To gain access to the northern side of the property, it was necessary to construct a crossing over the creek. To do this, it was required to submit an application to the local council, describing the nature of the creek (ours was low-flow seasonal) and the design for the crossing. They then came out for an inspection, and then finally gave approval. As cb be seen, once we had bridged the creek we did not further roadworks on the northern side of the creek, and instead relied on 4WD tracks between the planted trees and along the firebreaks around the edge of the property.
Our creek crossing was a simple single-pipe (900mm) culvert, with concrete wingwalls to prevent erosion. The earthern road was then constructed over the pipe.
